How can I answer what comes after this here

the what did they show you

an' the people you grew up around

the in-between spaces where we go
when we're trying to put it all together
Then time flew
into the people we grew up into
What do I know about the what is to come
except to say that when it gets here
I wonder if we'll even notice
Issues of importance are not what they were before
as the world is always changing
and as we learn we rearrange
the conclusions we come to
and the phases we go through
and the conditions we'll endure
but maybe that's what we're here for
